A weekend celebrating Mamas

I love May. The green, the longer sunny days + more time outside enjoying the gorgeous natural world our Lord designed to glorify Him. It fills me in wondrous ways; especially after the long + chilly winter this past season produced. This weekend was spent outside, celebrating Mamas and the children we love.

My sister and I share my Mama on Mother's Day; my sis had her for breakfast and we had her for a late lunch. We love staying around the house, playing board games, outdoor ultimate frisbee and relaxing with one another. My Hubs grilled the meal, while us Mamas chatted, reminisced and watched my teens play hard in the yard.

My middle daughter, Bean, is a wonderful baker and she blessed the family with the most amazing cinnamon rolls. It was her first attempt making this recipe and we ALL agreed it was a keeper. She made so many pans of the rolls, we were able to share some with other Mamas we love.

I crocheted a pile of coasters for some of my Mama friends. {I used this crochet pattern}.

Church with the family, a lovely meal + time with my Mama made this a spectacular Mother's Day weekend. Finding the time to just sit, chat, smile and watch, without the distractions that often pull our minds from the immediate was a JOY. Maybe we need to incorporate some Mother's Day traditions year round?!
