Girl's Crochet Gift {make + buy}

My darling niece is turning 9 years-old soon.  She's a creative one// paint, loom bands, markers, clay, paper-- all used regularly. My sister mentioned she was interested in learning to crochet, so I made up a bag of fun crochet goodies to keep her hands busy + happy!

Last month I made a couple of these Crochet Hook Cases. I picked a soft pink case and filled it with a colorful pack of metal crochet hooks {great deal on Amazon:: $6 for ALL}. Hobby Lobby has a wonderful brand of cotton yarn- "I Love This Cotton". Aqua for my girl.

As I was researching an easy to follow crochet book, I found Kid's Crochet. The illustrations are amazing and the projects look like something an experienced crocheter would enjoy {Hint: I will have to borrow this book}.

Michaels had this adorable canvas bag in the $3 bin. Once she begins crocheting, my niece will need to hydrate regularly, so a cute water bottle was added to the gift. And the bouncy-blow-up-balloon, that was just too fun to pass up.

Add a strip of vintage fabric and a beginner's crochet gift is ready. Pairing handmade + store- bought items make gifts personal and unique. Happy Birthday, Ms. O!!
