As I was perusing a new Hobby Lobby in town, I spied some coiled packaging of burlap; never have I seen burlap sold this way, so I was intrigued. It was half off. It found it's way into my buggy. The weather took a turn for the cooler this week so Fall is on my mind. When Fall + burlap meet, it's a happy reunion.
I cut the coiled burlap into 14 inch strips; just long enough to have a pocket and a top. Then, I sewed vintage lace 1 inch down on the pocket and sewed the pocket sides shut. Iron flat and done. Glue would work if sewing is not your thing.
It was the perfect day to make some Fall goodies. I'm wearing a cozy sweatshirt, my boys are at a Colt's football game and hot tea is brewing. Besides being cute, they are a fast fix. The perfect Simple Sunday craft.
Have a wonderful week, Friends!
