{DIY} Fabric Tape

I am loving all of the decorative tapes out right now; washi and fabric tapes are especially colorful with unique designs. Making fabric tape has a few fun benefits: 1. it is one more way to use up those fabric scraps, 2. you can choose any eclectic or vintage fabric & 3. it adds a little quirky love to any package or gift.

Fabric Tape Supplies:

Fabric Tape Supplies:

The Supplies: fabric scraps, double-sided carpenters tape {the kind used to keep those naughty rugs taped to the floor}, a credit card.

Directions: Flatten the fabric on a smooth surface. Place the tape, sticky side down on WRONG side of fabric. Use credit card to scrape and smooth the fabric on the tape. I used a rotary cutter and quilt ruler to slice the tape down the middle. Scissors would work great, too! Roll 'em up and store 'em for the right moment.

The tape makes great notecards!
