Summer family fun.

It's finally here; the warm summer and sunshine us Hoosiers have been anticipating for months. Gone are the slush, snow boots and parkas, here are the pool-side chats, BBQs and outdoor fairs! This last weekend, the entire family enjoyed one of our favorites- The Talbot Street Art Fair. Love it to pieces! It offers all of the essentials of any good fair: fatty foods {not ashamed to admit I LOVED the hand-dipped corn dog}, creative peeps and loads of opportunities to spend some money on lovely handmade goodies.

I fell in love with this flower last year, but didn't buy. She found her home this year!!

Last year, I saw these beautifully rustic license plate flowers and wanted one, but didn't and regretted it. This year when we saw this one, I bought it fast. She almost impaled my husband on the way home; he didn't want to have any petals bend in our packed car, so he held it in front of him the whole way home {worked his biceps and shows how far a sweet Hubs will go to satisfy his wifey's love of crafts}.

My children loved the handmade clay pots filled with ice cream. Really beautiful work done by special needs teens; all proceeds benefit their program.

I just had to buy one!

My favorite booth was The Wind and The Sail with Laura Stantz and her delightfully charming softies. The colors and patterns were amazing. It was so hard to choose just one, but the Hippo was a first love. Check out her website for the other colorful characters!
So, a happy day for all.
