*Day 3: Ugly Sweater Photo Shoot {Christmas for Teens}

Ugly Sweaters. You know the ones our parents wore {or we wore in the 80's} with the shoulder pads, loud prints and impossible weaves?? Well, they are the rage in our parts. We go thrifting and I'm looking at vintage linens and table settings, while my Teens are finding the most atrocious sweaters {similar to ones we donated in years past} and BUYING them with their own cash. That's pretty big, folks. And their peers are in on the hunt as well {Duh!}. The uglier the better is their motto.

So , this year, the Teens decided they wanted to dress in ugly sweater fashion and have a photo shoot for Christmas photos. Yep, that's right, Christmas pics!! Getting them to sit still for any amount of time, together, is difficult enough; so this Mama said, Let's Do It!

This photo is the winner. Christmas cards arrive Friday!

Gone are the days of matchy outfits and posed pictures. This is the best we got. And it does show some some of their individual personalities.

Did I mention it's hard to get 5 kids to sit for a photo shoot???

My Sweet Hubs attempted varying locations around our property; the ravine posed many distractions and kept them too far from one another. Sitting them along the deck kept them contained. But it didn't make finding a good shot much easier...

My little ugly-sweater-clad crew actually had a fun time with this photo shoot. They had an idea and collaborated to make it happen. I'm just sighing with relief that it's FINISHED and ORDERED and IN THE MAIL. Because I had some cooky friends that had Christmas cards delivered BEFORE December 1; now that's just wrong! {wink}

Let's make some memories!
