*Day 7: Downtown Lights & Dinner {Christmas for Teens}

Every December our family picks an evening to spend in downtown Indianapolis  {somehow we usually find the COLDEST evening }. We eat a marvelous meal, and take a walk, enjoying the lights of the monument circle . We have learned to do this early in the month. Weather and Christmas commitments kept us from this event one season and the Teens still remind us about that dreaded/ sad year.

 Since this has been a tradition from the beginning of our Christmases with children, our restaurant of choice has not changed// The Old Spaghetti Factory! Salad, pasta, bread and ice cream for fuel. So Yum!

Once we were filled up with noodles and ice cream we ventured into the cold to take in the stunning light display. We kind of huddle as we walk, hoping the heat from a sibling could be shared. So cold but gorgeous!

After taking in the sights, we hurried to the car, cranked up the heat and agreed that hot cocoa, tea or coffee was in our very near future!

Carriage rides, tall candy cane and toy soldier barricades, lights galore and an evening with my most favorite people in the world is a delightful tradition that still brings out a little bit of child-likeness in My Teens. A perfect way to indulge in some memory making fun.

Jolly Days!
