The Tattooed-Man Doll {turkey edition}

I found this great book by Jenny Doh // We Make DollsIt has been sitting in my craft room for a short bit, but when I spotted it shyly peeking out of my bookcase, I knew it was time to make the Tattoo man doll.

This book is a compilation of doll makers tips and tricks. AWESOME!

The good news: I had all of the materials around the house to make this muscle man. I purchased a panel of black toile curtains from Goodwill for $1 a bit ago, so I pulled this out for the tattoo effect. Funny bit: my tattoo man has a turkey over his heart// only appropriate for the month of November!

I LOVED working with this pattern; so easy to pull together. And really fast. The embroidery took the most time, but some couch time surrounded by one of my teens made the stitching enjoyable.

This doll would make a wonderful stocking stuffer! When my kids were younger, I often made little softies for Christmas morning. It was a part of our little family tradition. Hmmm,  more tattooed dolls may be in my future after all {wink, wink}.

And that mermaid doll on the cover of the book-- oh yeah, that is on my list of projects to complete too. Adorable!

Let's create and spread the JOY!
