A little while back, my Hubs and I had a leisure weekend at the beach in Michigan. We strolled, ate quiet meals, junk shopped and relaxed. While strolling along the still shore, we spotted numerous limbs of driftwood; these limbs were brought home to remind us of our weekend away, and hopefully incorporate into our home. A little while ago, I found a bag of forlorn plastic animals at the Goodwill for $1.99. They were thick and great quality// totally reminded me of my son's fascination with all-things-animal during his younger years. I bought these discarded beasts and used a few to make some Mini-Faux Animal Heads to hang in my sewing room.

Letter Writing Station {snail mail blessings}

I am indeed indebted to the amazing technological advances in communication since my college days, twenty-five years ago. Back then, the only way to connect with my family or friends  was through a very public pay phone in the hall of our dorm {not conductive to tear-fests or break-ups with beaus}, letter writing or popping in your car for a drive home. Letter writing was my favorite; going to your mailbox and seeing ANYTHING was a cause for a little jig.
